Founded in 2003 in Alberta, Canada, Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. has been dedicated to creating innovative solutions that reduce emissions across oil and gas operations. The first breakthrough came in 2006 with the Sirius Emission Reducer, which reduced methane emissions from gas-powered controllers by up to 90%, proving that environmental responsibility could also generate real operational benefits.
Building on that success, Sirius expanded into solar and AC powered chemical injection systems engineered to perform reliably in challenging oilfield conditions. Innovation continued in 2013 with the launch of the STAR Controller, which automated calibration, simplified operations, and offered advanced control features, driving rapid sales growth. In 2017, Sirius was incorporated in the United States and launched the Fusion1™ and Gemini2 Controllers, further expanding functionality. The following year, InSight™ Smart Sight Glass, Connect IIoT Platform, and the STACK™ Multipoint system were introduced, delivering enhanced remote monitoring and multipoint injection capabilities.
The Fusion2™ Pump, Motor, and Controller marked a new generation of precision chemical injection technology, laying the foundation for Sirius' growing focus on field automation and digitization. As operators increasingly sought smarter, more connected field operations, Sirius responded with Cruise in 2024 bringing universal pump automation to any existing field pump. The Fusion3™ Pump and Motor followed in 2025, extending the Fusion platform into higher-output hazardous area applications, alongside the Big Dipper which delivers advanced automation in a straightforward, field-ready solution.
